We had so much fun at the Simplot Don Plant golf tournament on Aug. 19 at Highland Golf Course! All proceeds from this tourney will go to United Way of Southeastern Idaho to help Southeast Idahoans in need on top of Simplot Don Plant's workplace giving campaign.

United Way of Southeastern Idaho receives $20K for American Falls preschool scholarships
United Way of Southeastern Idaho has received $20,000 from Idaho Future Fund in the Idaho Community Foundation for preschool scholarships for children in American Falls.
This funding will further the already under way efforts in American Falls to ensure that every child in American Falls will have the opportunity and access to high quality early learning programs that meet their family’s needs.
Women United leads fundraising drive, packs 50 'welcome home' kits
Women United members and community volunteers packed 50 “welcome home” kits for community members transitioning out of homelessness into homes. Laundry baskets were filled with home necessities and cleaning items not covered by federal programs and delivered to Aid for Friends homeless shelter.

More than 300 birthday kits created for local kids
Through United Way of Southeastern Idaho's Just Serve nonprofit partner volunteer opportunities, volunteers delivered more than 300 birthday cake kits to United Way. These kits will go to children who are celebrating birthdays while in transitional housing at Aid for Friends and Family Services Alliance of Southeastern Idaho.

Much like my colleague, Ginny Hoyle, Director of Communication and Outreach, I absolutely believe it was the “universe stuff” that brought me to United Way of Southeastern Idaho. The opportunity surfaced at a time in my life when I least expected it, but at time when my internal guidance was most open to it.
I knew through my work here I would be contributing to the communities of Southeastern Idaho. What I didn't know was that I would find such purpose and inspiration in what I do every day.
