100 Women in Finance follows local government guidance in producing in-person events. Note that, should local government guidance change in advance of this event, we shall notify guests of any changes or cancellations.

Claudia Bertolino
Head of Business Development, Citco Fund Services (USA) Inc.

Claudia Bertolino has a broad-ranging role at Citco Fund Services, where she is a Member of the CFS Business Leadership Team and Head of Business Development. Within this role, she is responsible for securing new fund services mandates for all lines of business, which includes Hedge Funds, Private Investments, Real Assets, Trusts & Foundations, Family Offices and leading on marketing the entire proposition. Her long-term commitment to Citco began in the Fund Accounting department in 2000, where she was directly involved in the development and rollout of Citco’s Proprietary Æxeo Platform to Fund Services clients. Before joining Citco in 2000, Claudia attained a BS in Accounting from Lehigh University and began her professional career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen LLP in their Asset Management Assurance Practice. There she assisted in audit engagements with several of the Funds she continues to service today. Along with her professional work in the Alternative Investment Industry, Claudia is a member of the New York Help for Children (HFC) Committee of Hearts, a global Angel of 100 Women in Finance and a co-chair and honoree of the St. Francis Food Pantries & Shelters. Claudia is also the Founder and Board Member of the MGB Memorial Scholarship Fund and is acting President of the St Joseph Regional Foundation.

Elaine Furnari
Head of Loan Servicing, Citco Fund Services (USA) Inc

Elaine Furnari is Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Loan Servicing at Citco. She leads a global team of employees located in the Americas, Ireland and India. Loan Services manages a portfolio of 115B in transactions across 11,000 loans[EFurnari] out of the US, Europe and the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Citco, Ms. Furnari spent nine years as Head of Commercial Loan Support for HSBC, where she managed a portfolio of approximately $19 billion in commercial real estate loans and $10 billion in asset based and corporate loans. Furthermore, Ms. Furnari held the title of Senior Vice President and Director of Loan Operations at Capmark Bank, where she was responsible for data reporting, transaction management and loan administration. Ms. Furnari has experience in the full life cycle of loan execution and loan servicing across multiple asset classes.

Laura Schnaidt
Counsel, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP

Laura Schnaidt is counsel in the Corporate Department and a member of the firm’s Private Funds Group. Laura’s practice focuses on the formation and operation of a variety of private investment funds, including private equity funds, credit funds, hedge funds, hybrid funds, direct lending funds, real estate funds, funds-of-funds, funds-of-one and separately managed accounts. She also regularly advises clients on regulatory compliance issues related to SEC regulations. Prior to joining Paul, Weiss, Laura spent over five years as in-house counsel at various multibillion-dollar private fund managers, including most recently as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Blue Torch Capital. During her time in-house, Laura oversaw all legal, compliance and regulatory issues, including creating best-in-class compliance programs and dealing with regulators (including the SEC). She was also responsible for negotiating private investment transactions, designing and managing cybersecurity and ESG programs, monitoring contractual obligations and private funding rounds, and working with investors and investment professionals on a variety of operational, legal and transactional areas. While in-house, Laura developed a deep understanding of capital raises, tax and ERISA structuring, global regulatory considerations, investor negotiations, co-investment arrangements and structures, topics arising under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, public trading and MNPI issues, trade documentation, and class action shareholder litigation and litigation funding. During law school, Laura completed a legal externship with the Asset Management Unit, Private Funds Unit, of the SEC’s Enforcement Division. Laura is the founder of Women in Funds, a social and philanthropic community for female leaders working in the private investment funds industry, including hedge, private equity, venture, credit, crypto and real estate funds. Laura is also a member of the Private Investment Funds Committee for the NYC Bar Association.
