Audio available by phone (toll free) by calling 888.916.9166

Livestreamed worship services are accessible by going to www.bit.ly/fpcvideos, subscribing to our YouTube channel, or clicking on the photo with a “Play” arrow on the home page of the Fourth Church website.

Children are always welcome in worship! During the service nursery care is also available, and Summer Sunday School meets at 10:00 a.m. as well.

After worshiping together this Sunday, our junior high youth will leave for St. Louis, where they will spend five days working with the “Amen! St. Louis” ministry of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church.

Please join us in keeping these travelers, their leaders, and their partners in St. Louis in prayer as we wish them safe travels and wonderful experiences together.

This Sunday is Pride Sunday, when we will again be taking part in the annual Chicago Pride Parade, as we walk with other members of the Chicago Coalition of Welcoming Churches.

Our group will begin gathering at 11:00 a.m. on June 25 at lineup #67 near the intersection of W. Sunnyside and N. Sheridan.

For full details about meeting up with the contingent to join in the walk, email Nanette Sawyer, stop by the Widen our Welcome (WOW) information table during Coffee Hour, or visit the Chicago Coalition of Welcoming Churches page on Facebook.

Fourth Church’s LGBTQIA+ Widen Our Welcome group will also be hosting a special Pride Coffee Hour in Anderson Hall following worship this Sunday.

At its June meeting last week, Session voted to annually fly the Pride flag on our flagpole in the Michigan Avenue courtyard.

It joins the Pride flag signs and rainbow ribbons outside Fourth Church as public witness to the inclusive hospitality we extend to all and to our welcome of all of God’s children into the life of the church.

This past Friday evening and Saturday, the Long-Range Planning Task Force met with current congregational leaders, the Senior Leadership Team, and pastoral staff to explore strategic opportunities and gather information before engaging the congregation, administrative staff, guests, and partners to co-create a three– to five–year plan for Fourth Church ministries.

This plan will also serve as a foundation as we prepare for calling our new senior pastor.

Also on Saturday Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management held their Executive MBA Convocation in the Sanctuary, as they do each June and December.

The Denmark Barber School set up shop in the Parish House Dining Room for three hours on Tuesday morning, providing free haircuts to drop-in guests of the Chicago Lights Social Service Center and Fourth Church Meals Ministry Bag Lunch.

Those getting their hair cut were delighted, and we are grateful for this ongoing partnership with Denmark, who regularly provides free or discounted haircut vouchers for Social Service Center guests.

Looking for something fresh and fun to do this summer?

The Music by the Fountain concert series at Fourth Church will soon be back!

Beginning Friday, July 7 our Noonday concerts move outside to the Michigan Avenue courtyard for the July and August performances.

Check out the lineup of musical artists from across the Midwest and beyond, and plan to join us for an hour of great music outdoors on Fridays beginning next month!
