In Brief
The EPA released its Climate Adaptation Action Plan, which describes steps it will take to address the impacts of climate change on communities across the Nation. The plan is part of the EPA's new Climate Adaptation web page, which will act as a hub for climate adaptation resources from across the agency.

Vicky O’Neill, NEIWPCC environmental analyst and LISS habitat restoration & stewardship coordinator, helped high school residents look for samples of fish, seaweed and other marine life at Short Beach on the mouth of the Nissequogue River. The outing was part of the “Day in the Life of a River,” an annual event that brings Long Island students to area rivers to collect data on water quality, tides, sediment, and biodiversity.
