IS ETERNAL REALITY A PRIORITY
IN YOUR LIFE?
What do you work for in life?
That which ultimately perishes...
Or that which is eternal?
This is an important question
to answer sincerely.
Too often we spend most of our time and energy
on that which has little value for eternity.
Living primarily for the deeper and eternal reality
is hard to do.
We're constantly directed in this life
to the superficial and less important aspects of life.
How do I:
Make more money?
Buy a new car?
Have a fancier meal?
Better entertain myself?
What new piece of clothing should I buy?
And the list goes on.
None of these are evil,
but they will not help our eternal soul.
And giving too much attention
to any superficial and least important aspect of life,
WILL DISTRACT us FROM that which is MOST IMPORTANT.
Reflect upon this challenge from Jesus.
Do not work for that which perishes;
work for that which is eternal.
Look at your life's priorities:
Where is your focus?
What do you think about the most each day?
Work? Volunteer Efforts? Hobby or Social Club?
Sports or Television? Managing children's activities?
Spending more time with the family?
God's Will for you and your family's life?
Hopefully, your greatest concern is to
grow deeper in faith in the Son of God!
For this reason, Jesus offers Himself every day in the Eucharist!
For Catholics, the Eucharist is not merely a symbol,
but IS Jesus Christ Himself!
