Aquaculture 2022 Recap
It was great seeing everyone at Aquaculture 2022! Below, you can find our recap for what happened the events we hosted from March 1-4.
17th Annual Zebrafish Husbandry Workshop Up Close and Personal!
For the first time in many (many) months, over 50 zebrafish colleagues joined together in person to discuss matters large (standardizing feeds!) and small (how to keep bryozoans at bay!).  
The keynote speaker, Dr. Piyumika Suriyampola (Arizona State University) gave a fascinating talk on the behavior of zebrafish and how it adapts (rapidly!) to habitat alteration, seamlessly tying in her research themes to the housing concerns of husbandry professionals.
With over thirty speakers packed into the two day event, attendees were happy to relax and enjoy the after-hours reception and infamous Town Hall meeting at the end of the busy days.

Technical Training at Aquaneering
Since Aquaculture 2022 was in San Diego this year, Aquaneering was lucky enough to have the opportunity to host about 30 of our zebrafish colleagues at Aquaneering Headquarters for one and a half days of hands on technical training! Attendees rotated through various training stations in our shop and learned all about rack troubleshooting, probe calibration, RO makers, preventive maintenance, and more. There was a zebrafish husbandry round-table, where newcomers could ask questions to the group and learn from experts in the field. It was a great opportunity for people of all experience levels to discuss their equipment and receive training from our expert Aquaneering Technicians. There was even an authentic Taco Truck for a true San Diego experience! Aquaneering is grateful to have had this opportunity for our customers and hope to do something similar in the future. Thank you to those who attended!
