I have a ton of goodies for you this week. To start, I finished testing the new M4 Pro Mac mini. I compared Final Cut, Premiere and Resolve running on Macs from 2018 to today. The full list of reviews - by NLE and hardware - is below. If you read some of these last week, I updated them when my testing was complete with more charts and more informed analysis.

However, if you are looking for a high-level comparison, here it is:

TOP NEWS STORIES THIS WEEK

News is on my home page, updated as news rolls in.

NOTE: We are currently having problems with video playback in my Video Training Library. Apparently, playback works fine on iPhones and iPads, but not desktops. My web team is working on this and we hope to have it fixed this coming week. I'm sorry for the problems.

I split last week's webinar into two programs and offering each at a special savings. Performance Testing summarizes all my recent articles into twelve minutes that can save you a ton of money as you look to purchase your next system. New Features in Final Cut 11 demos all the new features, including many fascinating new effects.

This week's webinar is a detailed look at the Color Page in DaVinci Resolve. This session provides a special emphasis on its unique interface, color tools, color matching shots, and secondary color correction. I will illustrate all of these with lots of examples. As always, my live webinars are free!

Recently, Jungle Power launched a series of eco-friendly, on-location power generation systems. To learn more, I emailed questions to Mark Naidoo, CEO of Jungle Power.

I have two video highlights from last week's Final Cut Pro webinar. The first shows how transcribe to captions works. The second illustrates the amazing new Magnetic Mask with details I didn't cover in my written tutorial.

Thanksgiving arrives in the US later this week and marks the start of the holiday season when everything seems to slow down - except, perhaps, for ever-more-strident sales and "Black Friday Specials."

Still, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it reminds me of the importance of friends and family. Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate, not what we get, but what we share and the people we share it with. It's a time to take stock and say thanks.

Thank you - for being here and sharing your time with me.

Until next Monday, stay healthy, stay hopeful and edit well.
