City of Bryan excited to welcome CertainTeed

Saint-Gobain, through its building products subsidiary CertainTeed LLC, today announced that the company intends to build a new, state-of-the art manufacturing facility and distribution center in Texas Triangle Park (TTP) in Bryan. Construction toward the distribution center is expected to begin in 2023 with completion of the entire project expected several years after. The project is expected to create 130 new jobs and approximately $140 million in capital investment.

Planning & Development Services wins seventh consecutive excellence award

The City of Bryan’s Planning and Development Services was awarded the 2022 Richard R. Lillie, FAICP Planning Excellence Recognition Program from the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association for the seventh consecutive year.


The City of Bryan is one of 44 municipalities throughout Texas to be recognized.

Spring into softball, flag football or basketball this year

The City of Bryan's Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of athletic programming for all ages and abilities throughout the year. Here are some programs this spring for ages 18+.


Leagues and tournaments offer a great opportunity for physical activity, to make friends and to build community. 


>> Men's and Co-Ed Softball League registrations are underway and close Feb. 5.


>> 5-on-5 Flag Football League registration opens on Jan. 16 and closes Feb. 19.


>> 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament registration opens March 6 and closes on April 19.

Smoke testing underway in central/west areas of Bryan

Some residents may see smoke emanating from central/west areas of Bryan throughout January as the city’s contractor performs smoke testing on sanitary sewer lines.


Smoke testing helps identify broken pipes and other defects by having field crews inject non-toxic smoke into the sewer lines through manholes.

City offices closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

City of Bryan offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 16 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 17.


Solid Waste routes will be collected as normal.
