All Saints and All Souls Day

Sunday November 06, 2022

This year we're celebrating All Saints and All Souls Day on Sunday, November 06 at our 8:00 am and 10:00 am services. We are remembering in a special way all those who have left this world and whom we hold dear in our hearts. Bring a picture or memento of a loved one and place it on the High Altar near the Blessed Sacrament. After the service, you may choose to leave your mementos and photos for the month of November, where they will be placed on a special altar of remembrance in the style of Latin American folk culture.

"Practicing the Presence"

This Sunday, October 23 after the 10 am service

The word surrender can evoke negative emotions. We can connect it with failure or defeat. But when it comes to God, surrender is the doorway to joy. Come to Adult Christian Education Sunday after the 10 am service to learn more about Surrender to the Presence.

This four week series will explore a way to practice the Presence that fits into the very busy lives we all lead. (We do not have to join a convent or a monastery to experience God’s Presence on a regular basis.) We will also look at how we can fully offer ourselves to God, what effect gratitude has on our relationship with God, and how we can experience hope in these challenging times.

Vestry On-Call

Nancy Koehring

Vestry members are partners with clergy, encouraging the growth of community and the establishment of common ground in the spiritual life of the congregation. Parishioners are always welcome to speak with these individuals on Sunday morning; they assist in making sure our questions, comments, or concerns are heard.

Vestry Minutes

In an ongoing effort to continue transparency and openness, the Wardens and Vestry of St. John's Cathedral would like to make available the recent minutes of their regular meeting held on September 21st. Future minutes will also be made available as they are approved.
