Get Your Tickets to the Brown Sugar Bake-Off
Two Strikes Theatre Collective presents the second Brown Sugar Bake-Off this weekend from November 5–7. The Brown Sugar Bake-Off is a celebration of Black women and non-binary creatives and the stories they have to tell. This year focuses on the theme BODY. With seven original plays featuring selected key ingredients, this festival is an exploration into what it means to take ownership after an undeniable history of the policing of Black and Brown bodies. This is a virtual, pay-what-you-can production so that anyone who wants to can tune in. Get more information at the button below.
SUBMERSIVE PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS
rECHOllection: A Near-Future Theatrical Experience
rECHOllection is Submersive's first fully open, outdoor, future-fiction piece. Due to a temporal rift next to Latrobe Pavilion in Druid Hill Park, denizens from 2032 have mysteriously begun to appear in our space and time. As you encounter them, Submersive will be on hand to curate the experience. Plan to stay for five minutes or three hours! Feel free to drop in and out as you'd like. A World Premiere Digital Experience
The Sleepover is a one-of-a-kind theatrical event created just for YOU, running November 11–December 18. There will be games. There will be secrets. There will be snacks (if you bring them... this is virtual, after all). The experience is limited to eight attendees per performance, so get your tickets now! THADDEUS MOSLEY: FOREST
See Large-Scale Sculptures at the BMA
Using only a mallet, chisel, and masterful joinery techniques, Thaddeus Mosley, a largely self-taught artist, reworks felled timber from local sawmills into monumental biomorphic expressions inspired by ancient and modern cultures from around the world. The current exhibition at the Baltimore Museum of Art, which runs through March 27, 2022, features five recent large-scale sculptures centered in the John Waters Rotunda, offering visitors a unique opportunity to circumnavigate Mosley’s dazzling abstract forms. LIGHT ART ILLUMINATES THE GAY STREET CORRIDOR
The community-crafted Last Mile Park project aims to infuse the Gay Street corridor with light art in the underpasses of the Amtrak train line that slices through East Baltimore. For details on the project, click below.

WHERE EVERYONE CAN GO AT THE BMA
There are no pink flamingoes in the new all-gender restroom at the BMA, but John Waters, local filmmaker and philanthropist, is still very happy about the upgrade. “Finally, we can all go to the bathroom together," he says. Read more about Mr. Waters latest donation at the link below.

EXHIBIT CURATED BY JOHN OLIVER NOW OPEN AT AVAM
An exhibition of "weird works" is now open at the American Visionary Arts Museum through November 21, selected by "Last Week Tonight" host John Oliver. In addition, the museum received a $10,000 donation, with another $10K going to the Maryland Food Bank. Get the full story below.

CLAYMATION MUSIC VIDEO EXPLORES HUMAN EMOTION

The Baltimore Farmers’ Market & Bazaar has beloved elements like hot food vendors and the Bazaar’s artisans. The Baltimore Farmers’ Market & Bazaar continues maintaining public health regulations to provide a safe experience for all.  

The 44th season runs weekly, 7:00 a.m.12:00 p.m. on Sundays through December 19, 2021, with continuous adaptation to maintain health and safety.
