The last SBC CABE chapter meeting was held on August 19, 2021. The last SBC CABE chapter meeting was held on August 19, 2021. Dr. Cherina Betters, Chief of Equity and Access for the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, was the guest speaker for this chapter meeting. Dr. Betters gave a talk entitled "The Courage to Build Bridges in Change". She spoke about the importance of ensuring that our school staff is culturally and linguistically aware and that we are actively advocating for those students who are most in need. Other topics included an upcoming parent conference centered around college and career and board election results.
Our chapter had a very successful fundraiser! We sponsored a drive-by lunch-and-go and raised $1000 to add to our scholarship fund. We want to thank the members of our JDA for giving us this idea.
