As summer winds down, a new school year winds up and the aromas of roasting green chile once again waft through the air. And this year, most students are gearing up for in-person learning.

Teachers, students, and administrators have made extraordinary adaptations to the challenges of the pandemic. Along those lines, all SFPS schools will be adopting a mandatory mask policy inside school buildings and while riding school buses this school year. Books are FREE to SFPS teachers and students; donations (cash or new school supplies) are appreciated from the general public.

Join ArtWorks and the Center for Contemporary Arts as we celebrate the creative work of SFPS students at our annual ArtWorks Works! exhibit.

The show features extraordinary student artwork and poetry - all created during online units of study with ArtWorks during the 2020 - 2021 school year!

More Teachers Trained!
ArtWorks held its annual teacher training on July 21 - 22.

Eight new ArtWorks teachers received training in the unique inquiry-driven pedagogy over two days.

These teachers' classes will receive ArtWorks units of study this upcoming school year, increasing the number of SFPS students experiencing the joy of arts education.

What Else Do We Do?

Partners in Education has been supporting teachers in our public schools for 33 years. That's all we do. We invite you to read on to see how our programs help teachers to make a difference in the community. Your donation can be directed to a specific program or to Partners in Education in general.

Have you ever seen a big yellow school bus outside the Lensic or a museum? Each year, donors like you provide the funding for buses for nearly 600 public school classes to go on transformative educational adventures.
The Teacher Warehouse is a resource for teachers to “shop” for free and take great things back to their classrooms. Local businesses and individuals donate office supplies, art supplies, books, and more.

ArtWorks is an aesthetic education program that builds critical thinking skills and frees young imaginations. ArtWorks makes the arts personally meaningful to over 1,800 public school students and teachers through an integrated program of art-making, viewing live performances and exhibits, and achieving understanding through inquiry and reflection.
Through the generosity of donors like you, classroom teachers receive grants for innovative, curriculum-based projects. Partners in Education awards over $50,000 to about 60 teachers each year.  

Partners in Education also honors up to seven Santa Fe Public School teachers each year with the Teachers Who Inspire awards. 
The Partners in Education Foundation for the Santa Fe Public Schools seeks to marshal resources and create alliances to foster excellence in Santa Fe's public schools.

The mission of ArtWorks is to make the arts personally meaningful to children and elementary school teachers through an integrated program of art-making, viewing virtual or live performances and exhibits, and achieving understanding through inquiry and reflection.
