MHAC applauds the country and California for the steps taken thus far; however, please have patience as the National Suicide Prevention Hotline Number “988” Rolls Out on July 16th

IT WILL BE A PROCESS. To help put this in preceptive, the national “911” number rolled out in 1957 and still isn’t perfect

TODAY: Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative Update Webinar

Please join the California Health & Human Services Agency (CalHHS), in partnership with its departments, on July 15 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. PST for a webinar on the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI).

The challenges of today’s world are deeply affecting the mental health and wellbeing of children and youth. The CYBHI aims to build a coordinated ecosystem promoting social and emotional well-being, preventing behavioral health challenges, and providing equitable, appropriate, timely and accessible services for existing and emerging behavioral health needs.

The Sweet Potato Project

Funded by the California Reducing Disparity Project, and the Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health using MHSA INN, the Sweet Potato Project II is a prevention program that aims to prevent and/or reduce school drop-out, gang involvement and substance use initiation for African American youth ages 12-15.
