Worship, study, and mission are vital to the life of the church. Vineville is an active and transformative force for God. Thank you for being who you are. Sometimes it is fun to step away from the work and enjoy fun and fellowship with our church family. Play is important for a happy life. Taking time to relax and enjoy relationships renews us and enriches us when we return to worship, mission, and study.

We have a free opportunity to enjoy fun and fellowship on January 25th. Vineville has been invited to be a special guest at the Mercer Men’s basketball game that night. The Bears take on East Tennessee State at 7:00. Members of the church family will offer the invocation and sing the national anthem. We can take as many as want to go – for free!

Click here to sign-up for free tickets, and they will be waiting for you at the ticket window on game day. We had a few sign up at the church, and we have already registered you at Mercer, so you are all set.

I have not been to a basketball game this year, so I am looking forward to it. I hope that you can join us. Feel free to invite friends, coworkers, and family. They don’t have to be Vineville members to get a ticket. The more the merrier! Who knows; they may decide we are so much fun they will visit on Sunday.

Go Bears!

Peace,

A Young Adult Men's Study

For three weeks, we will be studying Henri Nouwen’s short book and exploring ways Christians can lead in our own spheres of influence. We will conveniently meet during the children’s choir rehearsal from January 18 - February 1 from 6 pm-7 pm in the conference room of the office suite.

The Corinthian Conversation

Sundays, January 22 - March 5
6 pm -7:30 pm

Online with Ebby Arnold from The Candler Foundry.

In this six-week course, we explore the issues that the church in Corinth faced and the Apostle Paul’s conversations with them. We also look at the particulars of the situations and how Paul consistently emphasizes the “big picture”—the Corinthians’ embodiment of Jesus. This course will also look beyond the issues to the emotional relationship between Paul and the church in crisis and how they can offer support and guidance to the church in our context as the church navigates the particular conflicts of the 21st century.

Register by January 22nd by clicking here.
