Dear Families of the MS 104 Community:

Happy Wednesday! I would like to start by wishing our entire community a belated Happy New Year! I hope the holiday season was filled with cheer, rest, and relaxation. The start of a new year always allows us a chance to reset and reinforce our efforts to provide our students the best possible educational experience. I look forward to continuing our work and the many exciting things that lie ahead. As always, thank you for your partnership, collaboration, and support.

Staffing Update

As some of you may have already learned, our art teacher Mr. Tresnan will be moving on from his position. His last day with us will be tomorrow, January 12th. I thank Mr. Tresnan for his work during his time as a member of our staff and wish him well in his future endeavors. The administrative team has been working diligently to find a suitable replacement. We have narrowed down our candidates and will share an update regarding the new teacher in the coming days. I thank everyone for their patience as I navigate this situation and work to find the best possible replacement.

In addition, our House 80s social studies teacher Mr. Diles is presently out on a short leave of absence. He will return to work later this month. In his absence, Ms. Christina Everett will serve as the House 80s social studies teacher. Ms. Everett has been working in our school throughout the school year and we are most fortunate to have her take on this position in Mr. Diles' absence.

Parent Teacher Conferences on February 2nd and 3rd

As a reminder, we will be holding our next round of Parent Teacher conferences on the following dates:

Thursday, February 2nd- 4:30 PM-7:30 PM

Friday, February 3rd- 12:20 PM- 2:30 PM (ALL students have a half day and will be dismissed at 11:30 AM)

As per the DOE labor policy, these conferences will be VIRTUAL. Information on signing up for time slots is forthcoming.

¡Feliz miércoles! ¡Me gustaría comenzar deseando a toda nuestra comunidad un Feliz Año Nuevo con retraso! Espero que la temporada navideña haya estado llena de alegría, descanso y relajación. El comienzo de un nuevo año siempre nos brinda la oportunidad de reiniciar y reforzar nuestros esfuerzos para brindar a nuestros estudiantes la mejor experiencia educativa posible. Espero continuar nuestro trabajo y las muchas cosas emocionantes que nos esperan. Como siempre, gracias por su asociación, colaboración y apoyo.

Actualización de personal

Como algunos de ustedes ya habrán aprendido, nuestro maestro de arte, el Sr. Tresnan, dejará su puesto. Su último día con nosotros será mañana, 12 de enero. Agradezco al Sr. Tresnan por su trabajo durante su tiempo como miembro de nuestro personal y le deseo lo mejor en sus proyectos futuros.
