NOVEMBER STANDINGS UPDATE: PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM PRESENTED BY SUNICE & BOBBY JONES | |

Ryan Tofani has maintained his lead in the 2024 Professional Development Program presented by Sunice & Bobby Jones as we approach the end of the 2024 Professional Development season.
The PGA of BC Professional Development Program is an annual race designed to recognize members of the Association who show a tremendous contribution across many pillars key to being a top professional – the Association, by way of education, tournaments and other events, the industry in general, and, most importantly, themselves.
Tofani has earned 93 points thus far, through a combination of education, Association volunteerism, and participation in PGA of BC events such as the Fall Trade Show. Tofani has demonstrated his commitment to these pillars of professional development, especially to education, a category in which he leads all professionals in the standings.
In second place, Chris Ward (Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club) has earned 83 points. Ward has shown an exceptional dedication to volunteerism at Association events. In addition to his runner-up position in the overall standings, he leads all Assistant Professionals in the province.
Tied in third place, 2023 PDP standings leader Callum Ashby (Highland Pacific Golf) and Dylan Nickel (Chilliwack Golf Club) have each earned 65 points. Nickel leads all Rookies in the standings, having shown an immediate tenacity for professional development in his first full year as a member.

PGA OF BC SIMULATOR SERIES PRESENTED BY CLUB CHAMPION IS UNDERWAY | |

The PGA of BC’s new Simulator Series presented by Club Champion is underway!
The Series’ first event kicked off last Friday, November 15 and will run until next Friday, November 29. The first event takes place virtually at St. Andrews Links, Old Course from the comfort of your local Trackman simulator.
The PGA of BC Office Team will share an explainer video demonstrating the ease of Trackman simulator use, to be released early next week.

FREE VIDEO: TRACKMAN GOLF ONLINE INFORMATION SESSION | |

Trackman's Stephen Butt joined PGA of BC professionals for a free online Information Session last Friday.
The presentation covered launch monitor technology, the Trackman platform and recent Trackman updates, new competitions incorporating simulators such as TGL and the NEXT Golf Tour, and the recently introduced PGA of BC Simulator Series.

The PGA of BC would like to remind members that a call for nominations for the Board of Directors will open in early January.
Each candidate will be given the opportunity to present a write-up about themselves, sharing their vision and qualifications for the Board position.
We encourage all members to actively participate in the election process. Your vote is vital in shaping the future of our Board and the direction of our organization.

The PGA of BC and VBS Apparel are proud to introduce a new Team Store, where PGA of BC members can purchase Lululemon apparel and accessories branded with the PGA of BC logo.
Hoodies, t-shirts, sweatpants, hats and more are all available for purchase by PGA of BC professionals. Please visit the Association's Member Benefits & Corporate Discounts page (log-in required) to access the Team Store link.
The Team Store will periodically close to allow for efficient order fulfilment. Currently, the Store is scheduled to remain open until end of day on November 24, 2024. We encourage members to place their orders before this date to ensure delivery by Christmas.

Members are reminded that education requirements for Apprentice Professionals must be completed by December 1 at 11:59pm ET to remain active members heading into 2025.
If credits are not completed by this date, your membership status will change to inactive status. Parameters of Inactive Status include ineligibility to compete in all PGA of Canada Zone/National Championships, attend any Zone/National Office Education seminars, and you will not appear on Find a Pro or Members on the Move. Your membership status will remain inactive until you've completed any outstanding courses.
We understand this time of year can be busy, so we’re here to support you in any way we can to ensure you meet the deadline. To help you get everything in order, you can:

Victoria Golf Centre is looking for used range mats (5' × 8') that use a wood tee for its Par 3 course.
They are also interested in yellow TaylorMade golf balls in good shape.
If you have very good condition range mats for the driving range, they would be happy to hear from you.
