Weekly Update:
Friday, November 19, 2021
Happy Friday, Cornerstone family! Can you believe this Sunday marks four years since Cornerstone and Covenant Chapel merged together? There are so many amazing ways the Lord has provided for us over those four years and we're so excited for what the Lord will do in the future!

Also, this Sunday is Commitment Sunday. On this day, we honor our generous God by making giving pledges for 2022. Bring your pledge card with you this Sunday and at the end of each service, you will be invited to come forward to offer your pledge. If you're unable to attend church on Sunday, you can pledge online or mail your card back in the pre-addressed envelope. Questions? Contact Lance Hodges.

We're wrapping up our annual "4KC" series this Sunday with a message titled, Living as an Exile. Join us at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. online!
Church Christmas Decorating: This Sunday!
What's better than watching a Chief's game? Watching a Chief's game and decorating for Christmas! Help the Deacon's decorate Cornerstone for Christmas this Sunday, November 21st at 3PM. Let us know you're coming by contacting Ashley Huber. Thanks for serving!
Parents' Night Out Recap
72 kids (and 25 volunteers!) had a blast at Parents' Night out last Friday! Many crafts were made, lots of time was spent in the bounce house and countless Chick-Fil-A nuggets were eaten. This was our most attended Parents' Night Out to date!

Our next Parents' Night Out is Friday, December 10th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Are you interested in getting in on the fun?! Registration is now open! Click the buttons below!
$50 Challenge Update
This year, as a response to our 4KC series, we are partnering with Mission Southside's Backsnack Program. There are 45,000 elementary students in the KC Metro who are food insecure. The Backsnack Program seeks to reduce that number by providing a backpack on Friday filled with a weekend’s worth of nutrition.

So far, we've raised over $6,000 for Mission Southside. Consider taking the $50 challenge to help us reach our $18,000 goal! Any amount over our goal will go toward sending out more backsnacks.

To make your $50 donation, click the button below and select "$50 Challenge" from the "Fund" dropdown menu. You can also mail your gift to Cornerstone at: 13300 Kenneth Road, Leawood, KS 66209 (please write "$50 Challenge" on the memo line).
Christmas Concert
On Sunday, December 12, at 7:00 p.m., the Cornerstone Chancel Choir and Orchestra will present "The Voices of Christmas", a Christmas concert that highlights of voices of the Christmas story. In order to accommodate everyone, please reserve your seat and be sure to invite friends and family to join you as we encounter the hope of Christmas through song!
November Mission Focus
Don't forget to choose your ornaments from the Tree of Hope! As a reminder, during the month of November, we’re supporting Mission Southside’s Tree of Hope. Choose the gifts you’d like to donate from the tags on the Tree of Hope in the lobby. These gifts will be used in Mission Southside’s Christmas Store where families in need can come to pick out gifts for their family. Place the unwrapped gifts in the missions bin during the month of November. Thank you for your donations!
