YOUTH!
As mentioned on Sunday, several local churches are working together to develop a combined community youth group. We are better together. Here are a couple events for our youth to consider. Contact Pastor Teresa to sign up or for more information: cell: 937-726-3758 or email at pastorteresa@watervilleumc.org
A Day of service on Martin Luther King Day- January 16th: The United Way Emerging Leaders and Islamic Food Bank are partnering for a Day of Service on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will pack 700 Weekender Food Bags at the Islamic Food Bank warehouse (1804 Monroe St, Toledo) to help address a critical need for many in our community.
Each Weekender Food Bag is filled with nutritious, shelf-stable single-serve meals, snacks, and breakfast items and is designed to feed a family of four over a weekend. The Weekender Food Bags will be discreetly distributed to at-risk schoolchildren across northwest Ohio.
All are welcome to participate, however, if you are under 16, you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There is a volunteer form that needs to be filled out, Pastor Teresa will provide that to you to complete. The event begins at 1:00 pm, so we will be leaving around noon. Deadline to register is Thursday, January 12th.
Build your own snowman: Feb 5th, 5pm at Whitehouse Hope UMC. Youth will make their own "snow" and tasked to build the most unique snowmen possible! Bring a creative mind and get ready to have some fun!
Walleyes Game: February 25th, 7:15pm puck drop. Parents and kids invited. Please let Pastor Teresa know if you are interested no later than January 31st. Group cost will be calculated after we know how many will be attending.
