Hansen Decommission Update
The Development Services Department (DSD) continues efforts to complete a full transition from Hansen to Accela within the next two months.
Our teams have been working diligently to identify Hansen projects that will not be completed by September and are eligible for migration to Accela. Our BuildSA Team has also spent hours training staff on the process of migrating these permits into Accela. For the past eight months our goal has been to facilitate the completion of permits in Hansen and to ensure a seamless transition to one integrated solution. This change will make it easier for our customers and staff to identify projects and track their status in one system.
As of July 1, we are no longer issuing MEP permits in Hansen; and, extensions will no longer be granted in Hansen for projects that exceed the Sept. 30 , 2021 deadline.
Rest assured our teams will continue to work closely with each customer to help answer questions as projects are migrated from Hansen into Accela.
As a reminder, applications and permits without activity for more than 180 days are considered expired and customers will be required to reapply in Accela.
