Goodwill Fill-a-Truck Event is Oct. 8

Every school year we have two Goodwill special events to "Fill-a-Truck" with your donated items. Please save your items for our first event of the school year, on Saturday October 8th from 9 am - 12 pm in the north parking lot of campus. For every trailer we fill, our programs will receive $600 (there will be two trucks at each event). HOWEVER, DO NOT BRING YOUR RECYCLABLES, TRASH, OR OTHER UNUSABLE/BROKEN ITEMS! Early drop off will not be allowed. The trailer may leave the premises if items have been left prior to opening at 9 am. Thanks for your cooperation.

Please note, the event will end early if the trucks are filled before noon.

Volunteers are needed for the Goodwill event!

Students can earn service hours and parents are encouraged to participate. Tasks include sorting, unloading cars, and traffic control.

Music Program Fees for 2022-2023

Because the program receives no money from the district aside from teacher’s salaries, there are annual program fees to seed things like sheet music and other expenses for the award-winning program to operate.

For fee information and details about how to pay or request scholarships, see the BPA website payments page.

Tuxedo Updates

For students wearing a tuxedo, you need to purchase a tux shirt and studs (approximately $30 from Ted Brown Music, near the University District).  Or, ask Jill for previously used tux shirts with studs passed down from other students for $15.

Tickets on sale October 1 at www.showtix4U.com.

In this masterful translation, Heaney exposes the darkness and the humanity in Sophocles' masterpiece Antigone. Sophocles' play explores the conflict between those who affirm the individual's human rights and those in power who are protecting the security of the state.

The Burial at Thebes is a 5th Century BC play that is prophetically still alive and relevant in 21st century America. In our time, we see political leaders who cling to power, willing to crush the rights of individuals and groups who stand in their way. Antigone is a powerful female who stands up for her beliefs courageously because the consequences are so great.

See the website for more details about the show and the full cast list.
