Picture Day is Wednesday, September 28!

News from the Art Room

K-4 students kicked off the beginning of the year creating a collaborative project based on the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. Students created dots using any color order they wanted and then were challenged with cutting and altering their dots to create the big geometric colorful wall display!

Kindergarten News

All of the kindergarteners successfully completed three weeks of “Kindergarten Boot Camp.” The purpose was to quickly expose all students to letter discrimination, phonemic awareness, and fine motor skills.

During the thirty minutes, groups rotated to focus on letters and their sounds, rhyming and segmentation, fine motor strengthening, and letter formation.

We are very proud of the gains everyone made. It was a great way to kick off a year of learning and growing!
