A Message from the Lead Team

We recently had the opportunity to hear a presentation by Dr. Randy Schroeder, author of Simple Habits for Effective Parenting (2021).  We were impressed with his wise and Christ-centered approach and will be sharing some of his insights with you in the next few weeks.

“The #1 goal of parenting is to build a strong relationship with your child.”  “Example is the best and only teacher.”  He encouraged parents to be very mindful of what your children hear you say and see you do.  We lift you up in prayer as you guide your children.

Eagles in Action

7th Grade Eagles in Action October 2024

The seventh grade will be helping the organization Operation Support Our Troop by filling stockings with goodies for our servicemen and women. Our kids sewing club, So Kids, Sew has been making some of these stockings after school on Monday afternoons. The 7th grade class will be collecting specific goodies for these care packages, along with making Christmas ornaments. Monetary donations collected during chapel will go to offset the shipping costs of the very generous care packages as they are shipped around the world!

Praise God!

Our chapel offerings on the first day of school were ear-marked for Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Downers Grove to help them after a fire burned their school down and damaged their church in August. A $100 check has been mailed to Good Shepherd along with our prayers and encouragement while they endure the weeks and months ahead of rebuilding. Thank you!
