Who is feeding the kids during the summer?
When school is out, kids often lose food stability. Part of the solution is Feed & Read, a collaboration of United Way of Brevard and The Children’s Hunger Project. Feed & Read provides meal packs and engaging books to children in need, helping to ensure that they have the food and intellectual stimulation they need to thrive during summer break. This service relies on donations from individuals like you.
The Feed & Read program mobilizes a network of community centers, churches, parks and recreation sites. Some centers may require participation in the program to work with the mentors, but some public sites will provide both books and meal packs weekly.
