Join the Summer Reading Program at your library beginning June 5, 2023! 

There is a space for everyone – whether you are 9 months or 99 years old – we all need to read or be read to!


HOW IT WORKS


Sign up and log your reading beginning June 5. You can participate fully online or use our paper logs.

Log 8 hours of reading before August 5th to complete the program.

Keep logging and earn more prize drawing entries for every additional 8 hours you read/listen.

Michigan Learning Channel


Keep students engaged in learning over the summer. The Michigan Learning Channel’s 8-week summer program has everything kids need to continue building their brains and learning key concepts that will help them succeed in school. From preschool to 6th Grade, each grade has 2-3 hours of video lessons per week, plus a fun and interactive activity book. Local events and special broadcasts around our 8 weekly themes help pique kids’ interest. All programs are available on broadcast television and on-demand online.

The MI Tri-Share Child Care Program (Tri-Share) is an innovative approach to increasing access to high quality, affordable child care for working families, with the cost of child care shared by an employer, the employee and the State of Michigan. The pilot also seeks to increase the labor market by allowing employers to offer a child care subsidy to help retain and attract talent.

Caring for MI Future


Caring for MI Future is a statewide effort to help child care entrepreneurs open 1,000 new or expanded child care programs by the end of 2024. This initiative, led by the Michigan Departments of Education and Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (MDE & LARA) is focusing on what entrepreneurs need most to open and expand child care businesses—help finding and renovating space, startup funding, help recruiting staff, and support creating a business plan.

Sebewaing: FREE – Family Fun Day @ Bay Shore Camps

DATE: June 9 & 10

LOCATION: 450 N Miller, Sebewaing


Bring a tent or RV and spend the night. Or, come for the day on Saturday!

(Cabins are available upon request. Call for details.)


Come Saturday and the festivities start at 9 AM with a Carpetball Tournament, other activities starting at 10 AM.


Some activities will include: Canoeing on Saginaw Bay, a chance at the Archery Range, being challenged by the climbing wall, and lots more fun for the whole family!


If you’d like to camp for the weekend, call our office today to reserve your spot! Camping check-ins start at 2 pm on Friday and activities start at 3:30 pm. Campers are welcome to stay ‘til Sunday; however, there will be no food or activities provided on Sunday.


Our campground is not designed for ground campfires, but elevated campfire pits are permitted. Bring your own or use one of ours, we’ll supply the wood. Even the family dog is permitted at your campsite or in designated areas.
