Ella Rae Seasons - Perfect for Fall Projects

Ella Rae Seasons is a wool, acrylic, and nylon blend that gradually changes from one color to the next. Each skein of this bulky weight yarn has 219 yards and results in a soft-to-the-touch, machine-washable item. Log Cabin Blanket

We used Ella Rae Seasons and the Log Cabin knititing technique to make this blanket.

Line Dance Poncho

The garment was designed by our very own Creusa Gilmore and uses two different lines of Ella Rae - Seasons and Cozy Soft.

NEW YARN IN THE STORE

We have two new lighter-than-air yarns from Plymouth Yarn that have made a home on the shelves! They are both alpaca blends and both made in Peru. Keep reading to learn more.

The first one is called Aireado. This is an alpaca, merino, and nylon blend with a very unique construction. Fibers are blown through an ultra-thin nylon tube with air creating an airy yarn with extraordinary yardage - 283 yards per skein! Each skein sells for $19.50.

The second new yarn is called Avita. The sparkling shiny core of lurex is spun with a fluffy alpaca halo for a divine knitting or crocheting project! Each skein is 214 yards and sells for $11.00.

October Knit-a-Long Options

There are two knit-a-long options that you can join during the month of October - and we have the supplies you need for both!

Malabrigo is hosting a knit-a-long for this Seeing Spots Vest. Made with Rios. We have over 100 colors of Rios on our shelves for you to choose from. Please note, to be eligible for the prizes, projects must be knit using at least one Malabrigo Rios Solidos color.

Open Stitching at Emy's Yarns

You have two opportunities each week to join us for open stitching. There is no cost to attend these sessions, and we often have snacks.

Thursdays 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Saturdays 12:00 - 4:00 pm

As a reminder, there is no instructor available during these meetings, but you may be able to get help from others who have joined the group.

Finished Project of the Month

Sonnee made this Wonderful Wallaby Sweater, a pattern by Carol A. Anderson. Sonnee used Plymouth Yarn Encore - a perfect yarn for this sweater. She used five skeins of the colorway 7401 (about 1000 yards). In this picture of the sweater, the yarn looks white, but it's actually light blue with darker blue speckles, as you can see in the picture of the skein on the right.
