Almighty and most loving Father, we give you thanks and praise for the gift, friendship, ministry, and love of Ed and Patty Kelaher. By your Spirit, you have worked within them and through them to proclaim the Gospel, share Christ’s love, grow your Kingdom, and impact many lives. They have been our leaders, our mentors, our confidants, and our friends, and our parish is stronger and healthier because you, in your grace and mercy, called them here. Now, Father, we ask that you send them out with joy and power to love and serve you in their new calling. May they be warmly welcomed by their new parish and community; may their proximity to their family bring them blessing upon blessing; may their ministry be multiplied a hundredfold; may they be so filled with the Holy Spirit that their every thought, word, and deed would draw others into a deeper relationship with you; and may Lexington, N.C., become known as a place where people can find you. All this we ask in the name of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
