City National Bank Sponsors 19th Annual Power Women, Power Tools®

CNB teams up with Habitat LA & Power Women!

Powered by Purpose and sponsored by City National Bank, the 19th Annual Power Women, Power Tools® build day is off to an amazing start! This impactful day is happening on June 17, 2023, from 8am to 4pm. Join us as we spotlight the great need for affordable housing by building in partnership with heroic women leaders from diverse backgrounds to revitalize Los Angeles’ Willowbrook neighborhood.

Habitat LA is excited to have City National as the presenting sponsor of this year’s celebration as we use the strength of power women to build 8 new homes! Over the years, City National has been a trusted and supportive partner in our work, with many staff painting, roofing and building the foundations of sturdy homes alongside our Habitat families.

All proceeds from this year’s event will help support Habitat LA’s efforts to eliminate substandard housing by building and repairing homes in our community. For more information visit: bit.ly/PWPT23.

See you there!

Giving the Gift of Play!

NBC Universal Volunteers Build Adorable Playhouses

Four playhouses in four hours! In this quick timeframe, NBC Universal gathered 40 team members to volunteer at the Entertainment Capital of L.A. to create, build, and paint new playhouses for local children and their families. Playhouses are often sold through the ReStore if not directly donated to families. All proceeds from our Playhouse builds support our home repair program!

Acts of Kindness from Active-Duty Personnel!

2023 LA Fleet Week at Isabel Villas

In celebration of LA Fleet Week® Habitat LA welcomed active-duty Navy and Marine personnel to Isabel Villas for 2 days of building hopes, dreams and future homes! Under the umbrella of our Habitat for Heroes program, the volunteers joined us in sharing resources and helping hands at the thriving development of our 8 energy efficient homes. This year’s LA Fleet Week was a time to honor the more than 300,000 veterans who live and work in Los Angeles County.

“Habitat LA’s mission to build affordable housing for all, including veterans and their families, makes the volunteer opportunity for our sailors and Marines one of the most popular community relations projects each year,” said LA Fleet Week Foundation President Jonathan Williams.
