Sunapee Happenings
OK, We're officially thinking “fall”.  Though summer is being ushered out by the crisp mornings and cool nights of fall, we still have the gorgeous color of goldenrods and late blooming sunflowers to greet us on a misty September morning.
The vivid details of September 11, 2001, are memories woven into each of our lives forever. The 20th anniversary commemoration held at sites of destruction and loss will remind generations who visit the memorials, not only of the destruction and loss, but also of the bravery of first responders and the kindness of strangers and how we united as one on that day.

Communities across the land have developed traditions of commemoration as we all pause to remember those lost on 9/11. Flags fly, bells ring, trumpets and bagpipes sound out, and tears flow as thousands of victims' names are recalled each year.

The story of 48 flags has become New Hampshire’s unique observance of 9/11. READ STORY

The Fells Main Gallery Exhibit: Peace and Tranquility

After these past stressful months with our world turned upside down we find
that The Fells has offered a retreat, a place to come and experience the
peace and tranquility of the natural world. In these past months many
artists have found peace and tranquility painting in their studios or out in the landscape.

This show featuring selected artists who will share their
work and experiences over the past 14 months creating art that reflects the
peace and tranquility that they sought.

Art Exhibit: Art Cafe and Walt Whitman

The Second Floor Gallery features the artists from the Art Cafe and their
work inspired by Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass. His verse collection
was first published in 1855 and is considered a landmark in the history of
American Literature. These paintings, sculptures and collages are
