SGA Halloween Photo Contest

The annual SGA Halloween Contest will run from Oct. 11 to Nov. 1. Open to all WesternU students, faculty and staff.
The categories are: decorated/carved pumpkin, Halloween-themed food (new!), and pet costume.
Prizes (Amazon gift cards): $125 for first, $75 for second, and $50 for third in each category.
Public voting on WesternU's Facebook page will run Nov. 3-8.

The WesternU CHS Department of Occupational Therapy Education-Oregon made a powerful debut at the annual Occupational Therapy Association of Oregon (OTAO) Conference on Oct. 9.
Dr. Michael Falcon, OT faculty, received the Award of Merit from the Occupational Therapy Association of Oregon. This award recognizes an OT for his/her contributions to the profession over the last five years based on participation in state, national and local association activities and specific activities/accomplishments that have contributed to the advancement of occupational therapy.
Dr. Falcon and Dr. Kali Wize, also OT faculty, were appointed as OTAO Education Representatives.
Lastly, OT Chair Dr. Heather Thomas presented “Using the OT Practice Framework to Re-ignite Fire Into Your Practice" at the conference.
