Behind the Scenes | Our New Home
After years of planning and months of construction, the new site is up and running!

Program manager Kristen Kallai reports, "Parents are impressed with the views of the Santa Barbara mountain backdrop while watching their children ride in our new arena. For riders, the new site signifies a new beginning. For many of our riders, small changes can be overwhelming. But, we were pleasantly surprised at the overwhelming excitement and enthusiasm for this fresh start."

If you have questions about the new facility or how to donate to the capital campaign, please contact Morgan Kastenek at Morgan@heartsriding.org or (805) 364-5201.
Happy Retirement to Solo & Kodi
We recently retired two of our long-time equine partners, Solo and Kodi. Please join us in thanking these two gentlemen for their service at Hearts. They touched the lives of many individuals during their time here, and they deserve nothing but the best in their new homes!
Kodi came to Hearts in 2016 with Honey and Solo. He was a solid trail horse with a very smooth gait and still loves getting out on trail rides whenever he can. Kodi is strong, sturdy, and often compared to a Tonka truck. Because of his strength, he provided safe and secure lessons to all of his riders.

Sarah, who used to be the volunteer program manager at Hearts, has now adopted Kodi. He's going to be Sarah's trail partner. So far, he is loving his new home and is quickly making new friends!
Solo also came to Hearts in 2016. His BFF's Honey and Kodi were all corralled together as personal trail horses. Solo is a sweet, kind, and giving horse who especially loves a good trail ride.

Solo was recently adopted by Hearts' barefoot trimmer, Miranda, and will live out his days being spoiled by two adorable girls. He's already getting showered with love and attention. He looks pretty happy, don't you think!?
