SCCS 5th grader Omari Sowers-El was selected as a finalist for "Artist of the Week" by Artsonia! You can vote for Omari by clicking here.The "Artist of the Week" will be featured on the Artsonia homepage and will receive a commemorative plaque from Artsonia. In addition, Blick Art Materials has generously donated $100 gift certificates to the winning schools and $50 to the winning artists. Voting ends this Saturday, January 29th.
CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK HEARTBEAT DRIVE
Next week, January 30th through February 4th, please help us pack the box truck with items for our local crisis pregnancy resource center, Heartbeat! Below is a list of items that Heartbeat needs; please consider donating. Donations can be sent in with your student or dropped off to Mrs. Voltz at the main entrance on Decatur St. at the blue awning.
There is a jeans day for Catholic Schools Week on Thursday, February 3rd. Students may wear school-appropriate jeans and a shirt/sweatshirt that matches the colors of their classroom’s assigned country.
SCHEDULE CHANGE REMINDER
Tuesday, February 1st is a full school day. The 2-hour delay that was originally scheduled for Tuesday, February 1st was moved to the week of Thanksgiving as a part of the expanded break.
PRESCHOOL-8TH GRADE YEARBOOK ORDERS
The Preschool-8th Grade yearbook is now available to order. Go to ybpay.com and use Yearbook ID Code #14379122. The cost is $25 and payment and orders are online only. The deadline is Friday, March 11, 2022.
EXTENDED DAY MONITOR POSITION
SCCS is looking to fill a Monday through Friday, 2pm-6pm, Extended Day Monitor position. The candidate would be responsible for Preschool through 5th grade students during the school year. Childcare background is preferred but not required. Interested candidates should email a letter of interest stating qualifications, a current resume, and a list of at least three professional references to [email protected] no later than Friday, February 18th, 2022.
On Sunday, January 30th there will be a free performance from the Heidelberg University Concert Choir at 3:00pm at St. Mary’s Church.
