Family Movie Night, "drive-in" movie style on the CLS field. It's a Double Feature ( Big Hero 6 & The Princess Bride)! Field opens at 7:15pm, Movie starts at 7:45. Bring your lawn chairs!

The next Blood Drive will be Monday, July 26, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, in the Blood-Mobile, in the front Parking lot at 3901 E Indian School Rd. This is a critical time for donations. Back to School Sunday. Bring your backpacks to church! No matter your school or grade, we are praying for the new school year and thanking God for the gift of education, teachers, and learning! Students will receive a special gift too.

Fall Youth Ministry returns in August!

Students heading in to 9th-12th grade this year, should save the date for next summer's LCMS Youth Gathering in Houston, TX. Our first info meeting will be in August. Talk to Ms. Maddie for more information.
Young Adults (those who will be 19-26 y/o at the time of the event) should talk to Wes Gong about volunteering.

Children's Ministry Returns! |
|
Children's Church starts on Sunday, August 1. Children's Church is designed for students Age 4-2nd Grade and happens in the Canyon Room during the sermon time of 8:30am and 10:30am services. Children will be led in a brief devotion, songs, and activity, then brought back to their parents at the end of the sermon.
Second Sunday starts Sunday, August 15 and meets the Second Sunday of each month (unless otherwise noted), 12:00pm-1:30pm outside on the CLS Field. Second Sunday is made special for 3rd & 4th grade students. This year we will spend each month learning about The Armor of God. Snack is provided, please bring a water bottle.

The Fundamentals

Pastor Jeff Tucker's podcast, The Fundamentals, is back! This week they continue the journey through Paul's first letter to the Church in Corinth. In chapter 6 they will discuss how Paul exhorts believers to live & interact with the world around them.

New: Bridge to Home Ministry |
|
A new ministry is launching in August: The Bridge to Home Ministry! CCL is partnering with the Chaplaincy for the Homeless to help raise up people living on the fringes.
Items the Chaplaincy is requesting for Fall Festive Kits include the following: Hand warmers, back packs, parkas, jackets, blankets, gloves, sleeping bags, bed rolls, socks, sweatshirts and underwear, face rags and or wet wipes.
We are also asking for Large print Bibles and inspirational Christian books.
Please bring your donations to church by Sunday, August 5th. or to the office anytime during the week.

New: MorningStar Ministry |
|
MorningStar Ministry will be a new opportunity to connect weekly with our neighbors at MorningStar Assisted Living. Starting Tuesday, August 3, folks from CCL are invited to join our friends at MorningStar for songs, devotion, and fellowship each Tuesday at 10:30am. To learn more, talk to Pastor Jeff or Pastor Dave!
