Winter weather reminders

Brush up on your winter wisdom. Here are some friendly winter weather reminders as we head into the snowy season.

  • Winter parking restrictions are in effect until April 15. Parking is not allowed on most streets from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m., whether there is snow on the ground or not.
  • Check the online winter operations tracker to see when a plow is near you. Will it be snowplow Darth Blader or sidewalk plow Luke Sidewalker coming to clear your neighbourhood?
  • Don't throw snow or ice on the road when clearing your driveway or sidewalk.
  • Remember to allow for extra time and space on the roads when driving in winter conditions.

Let's work together to ensure a safe and enjoyable winter season in Georgina. To view the snowplow tracker and for more information, visit georgina.ca/snow.
