December 2024

Throughout the month of December, Lakeland District has been shining a spotlight on the incredible volunteers who make a difference in our community through the Lakeland District Volunteer Recognition Social Media Blast. This initiative highlights the selfless efforts and dedication of individuals who go above and beyond to support local programs, events, and initiatives. By sharing their stories and achievements, we aim to celebrate their contributions and inspire others to get involved. Join us into January, as we recognize these exceptional volunteers who help make Lakeland District a stronger, more vibrant place for all!

The Value of Volunteering is immeasurable; however, many benefits of volunteering include building confidence, competence, connections, and community. It also serves as a portal to the social and economic value for organizations, neighbourhoods, businesses, society-at-large and to volunteers themselves. (Volunteer Canada)
