The Provost's Office of Faculty Development and Diversity and Cornell University Press invite you to attend their 2022-23 series on academic book publishing. Editors from Cornell University Press will share their insights on what constitutes a compelling book proposal for a scholarly press, how to pick a publisher, trends in publishing, promotion, marketing tips, and more. Literary agents and your colleagues also will also offer suggestions. All sessions will be held on Zoom.

Finding a Publisher
Acquisitions editors from Cornell University Press will guide you through the often mysterious process of publishing with a university press. Topics to be discussed include finding the right publisher, talking to editors at conferences, preparing and submitting your proposal, peer review, faculty board approval, and submitting your manuscript for publication.
