Organizational Update: Cabinet Roles Posted
Dear Team DPS,
 
As a follow-up to the communication sent last Friday regarding the new organizational structure, we want to share that the positions that are a part of the new Superintendent’s Cabinet, as well as several other time-sensitive roles, are now posted. 
 
Below is the anticipated timeline to select the Cabinet team, including a clarification that supports the need to prioritize the hiring of several roles – Chief of Schools, the Deputy Superintendent of Schools, Chief of Staff, and Deputy Chiefs of Staff:
 
  • Week of Feb. 14: Positions posted
  • Week of Feb. 28: Postings close 
  • Deputy Superintendent of Schools closes Feb. 21; interviews to follow immediately
  • Chief of Schools closes Feb. 21; interviews to follow immediately
  • Chief of Staff closes Feb. 21; interviews to follow immediately
  • Deputy Chiefs of Staff close Feb. 21; interviews to follow immediately
  • March 7-21: Additional interviews 
  • Now through no later than April 25: Selection process
 
Additionally, there are material changes to the roles and responsibilities of the Chief of Equity & Strategy position, which requires this position to be posted. The posting period for this position will close on Feb. 28.
