In this issue: A review of the holiday program festivities this month, with a special section about some awesome places to visit outside the Castle.

Happy Holidays!

We hope you had a great Thanksgiving, with loved ones in your hearts and a cosy cup of a warm beverage in your hands.

The holidays are now upon us and in full swing at Gillette Castle State Park! The park was lit up for a special evening last week. As you can see below, evenings at Gillette are very special. We may try this again next year, so watch this space for announcements!

We are sold out, but there's still LOADS to enjoy!

With mixed feelings, we feel you should know that the Castle is already sold out through the final weekend. We are pleased at another successful sell-out year, but we know that this news will disappoint a few of you, and we are sorry for that.

But we have outdoor activities a-plenty, and we hope you drop by.

Free hot cider at the cider station!

Gorgeous outdoor decorations and great photo ops!

Outdoor scavenger hunts and coloring pages for kids of all ages.

Guided hikes with our friendly and knowledgeable guides! Enjoy fresh air, exercise, and learn a bit about the fascinating character of William Gillette and his beautiful train trails.

Time your visit well and enjoy some live music at the Visitor center!

On Sat., Dec. 21 we host the Harvard Lane Clarinets starting at 12:30 p.m. and on Sun., Dec. 22 we host Mystic Winds at 2 p.m.

More holiday fun beyond the Castle!

Just a 5 minute drive from Gillette Castle, there's more to enjoy!

We are thrilled that local businesses support our beautiful Castle, and we like to share the love! Today we introduce you to three of our GOLD sponsors.

The Hadlyme Country Market

This quaint country store has been in business since Gillette's time. It was established in 1905, which makes it 70 years older than the Castle! This little gem serves tasty sandwiches, hot pizza, and yummy pastries. Our favorite sandwiches are the Gillette and the Sherlock!

The Yankee Cider Company

A hard cider taproom, tucked away in an old historical barn only minutes from the Castle, is the perfect stop to warm up after the outdoor festivities. They have bonfires going outside and a warm, friendly atmosphere inside. The tap room is open 4 to 8 on Thursdays and Fridays, and 12 to 8 on Saturdays and Sundays.

Two Wrasslin' Cats Coffeehouse

A striking and fun locale filled with some of the world's finest cat kitsch, this cobalt blue coffeehouse was founded with a mission to welcome all people. They have yummy coffee, tasty cat-themed delectables and artwork. They even have a "cat cafe" with six cozy and comfortable feline residents!
