Worship Series

September 2022

Our Worship Theme for September, in honor of our annual Homecoming celebration, is “Come Home to Faith!”

On September 18, Rev. Rick preaches as we begin our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, and aspire to be a spiritual home for everyone, para todos!

And, on September 25, Homecoming Sunday, as we celebrate Rev. Nancy’s 50th Anniversary in ministry, our special guest, State Rep. Michele Rayner-Goolsby will preach on Rev. Nancy’s favorite homecoming story, the Prodigal Son. Marsha Pino-Stevens will also share her gifts in song.

 “Mustard Seed Faith”

Jesus tells the disciples if they had faith the size of a mustard seed they could move mountains. What does he mean by that statement? What role does faith play in our lives? Does God need us to have a certain amount of faith or is that even possible? What should be the object of our faith? Join us this Sunday as we continue to come home to faith!

MCC is partnering with Rev. Elder Dr. Nancy Wilson to celebrate her incredible 50 years of ministry in MCC, and she is NOT DONE YET! Nancy continues to be passionate both about local church ministry and MCC’s worldwide mission. To mark this ministry milestone, we are working together to raise at least US$50,000, which will be shared between SunCoast MCC where Nancy is Senior Pastor, and global MCC. The denomination will use the funds to support translation, so that MCC can reach even more people around the world.

In lieu of gifts, donations in honor of Rev. Nancy's work may be made using the link below, visiting SunCoast MCC's website or mailing a check to SunCoast MCC (50/50 in the memo).

The 2022 Hispanic Heritage Month theme is: "Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation."

We celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15) to recognize the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have inspired others to achieve success. The observation began in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period.

Planning Ahead

"Budget 2023 Early Announcement”

Budget 2023 for SunCoast Ministry Leaders

The budgeting process for 2023 is beginning. Let’s plan ahead!

If you are a Church Leader whose Ministry (or working committee) requires any kind of  funding to accomplish your work for our Church, please let your Board of Directors know of your “Budget 2023” requests by sending the information to treasurer@suncoastmcc.com

Budget 2023 is a compilation of all the operating plans for SunCoast MCC ministries/committees for the coming year expressed as their dollar costs. Your input is vital before the end of September, 2022.

Our Membership will formally vote on Budget 2023 in early November, 2022 after a review process that includes our Senior Pastor with Staff and your Board of Directors.
