Beginning September 8 at 5:45pm dinner will be served. 
  • $6 per person. You can pay by check or cash each week or purchase a meal card via PayPal to pre-purchase up to 30 meals. 

Stick around from 6:30pm-7:00pm for "family" bible study.
  • We will pray together, play games and worship. All families; older adults, adults with youth, adults with children are invited.

Lamplighters Circle
United Methodist Women LHUMC Lamplighters Circle begin the fall season
continuing to advocate for women and children in the U.S. and across the globe.
We gather also to enhance the spiritual needs of members. All women are invited Thursday September 9 in RM A-117 at 2PM.

Acolyte Training with Parents
Sunday, September 19th 
9:30-10:30am /Sanctuary
All incoming 3rd-6th graders are invited to become an acolyte for the 11am Traditional Service.

All new acolytes and one parent are required to attend. During this time, parents and children will be taught about the tradition behind acolytes, and all acolytes will be fitted for robes. 
Sign up shifts will be done by email following training.

LHUMC Children's/Family Choir
Covid Precautions:
  • Masks will be worn during group interaction.
  • Children will sit with their parent(s).
  • Family groups will be spread out in the choir room.
  • With cooler weather approaching there is a possibility we will practice outside.
  • We will continue to monitor the status of COVID spread and will update you as needed. We ask for your flexibility if any changes must be made.
Parent Talk: Screenagers Next Chapter
Lake Highlands UMC will be hosting the sequel film "Screenagers: Next Chapter" addressing mental health for teens. Parents and kids ages 11 and up, join us on Sunday, September 26. Tickets are $10 (+fee) per adult; kids are free. Find more details here: https://screenagerslhumc.eventcombo.com
