Fourth Quarter General Membership Meeting & Human Services Award Luncheon
Please make plans to join us for our fourth quarter General Membership Meeting on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from 11:30AM - 1:15PM. The location for this year's event is The Table, 300 Village Green Circle, Smyrna. This General Membership Meeting will include time for networking, a luncheon, and our annual Human Services Awards ceremony. Tickets for this event are $20 each and you may register by clicking here.

Each year, the Cobb Collaborative honors members of our community who have exhibited outstanding service to those in need in Cobb County. Jack Vaughan, Jr. was a state representative and member of the Cobb Collaborative who showed unselfish dedication to public service and strongly advocated for those less fortunate in our community. In memory of Jack’s service, the Collaborative honors a volunteer and a professional who have gone above and beyond to serve those in need.

We know that there are many individuals who have gone ‘above and beyond” this year (or who have continued to go above and beyond!) to respond to the unprecedented public health crisis and concurrent economic and educational crises. Please do your best to select one person from your organization who has demonstrated exceptional service and leadership. Agencies are welcome to submit in both the volunteer and professional categories.

Nomination forms are available for download on our blog by clicking here. The deadline for submitting nominations and pictures is Friday, November 19, 2021 at 5:00 PM. If you have any questions concerning the nomination process, please contact Irene Barton at 678-766-5574 or via email.

Special thanks to First Citizens Bank for sponsoring the luncheon for our fourth quarter General Membership Meeting.

Additionally, we would like to thank Amy Crowell, author of the A-Z Guide to Event Fundraising and founder of Next Stage Advisors for sponsoring our general membership meetings for 2021.
Kennesaw State University's 14th Annual Homelessness Awareness Week (HAW) will be observed from Saturday, October 30 through Saturday, November 6, 2021.

HAW is a week-long series of events dedicated to increasing awareness of homelessness on college campuses as well as reducing stigma to students facing homelessness. Each year, participating students are surprised by the numbers of KSU students that are affected by homelessness.

In conjunction with Cobb Collaborative, candlelight memorial vigil will be held on Friday, November 5, to honor those in Cobb County who have lived and passed away while experiencing homelessness in 2021. The vigil will be from 7:00-9:00pm at KSU Marietta Campus - Engineering Technology Center, Building Q, 840 Polytechnic Lane, Marietta, GA. For those who would like to participate in the vigil virtually, the link is bit.ly/HAWVigil2021

Your feedback is vital to the success of Cobb Collaborative and we would appreciate it greatly if you would take a few minutes to complete this year's Collaborative Vitality Survey from Georgia Family Connection Partnership. This annual survey allows us to acknowledge and celebrate achievements while identifying areas for improvement and growth.

Please click here to complete the survey before November 1, 2021. This is completely voluntary and should take about 10 minutes or less to complete.

Thank you in advance for your input.
