Luncheon to Honor Daniel Headrick

Please mark your calendars for Sunday, September 19,when we will gather following church to thank Daniel Headrick and his family for their time with us. Please join us for lunch under the pavilion. To help us preapare, let us know you are coming with an email to Will Mathews (will@northsidedrive.org) or call the church office to indicate your attendance. We'll have a boxed lunch (pick up in the fellowship hall), and will toast Daniel with lemonade and iced tea under the pavilion. We hope you can be present.

Theme: Jesus the Light of Life. In this sermon I’ll be focusing on Jesus [good focus right?] and how the metaphor of light is a powerful way of experiencing and thinking about Jesus' life and resurrection.

Theme: Reading the Bible in a non-fundamentalist way. In this sermon I’ll look at the Acts story as a window into reading the Bible with your head and your heart.

Theme: Grace. In this sermon I’ll be exploring how grace means we invite people to be a part of our life and community because of the way God has first welcomed us.

Theme: Resurrection. God raised Jesus from the dead. But Jesus got a little practice in resurrection before Easter. What are the things we need to let go of in order to experience resurrection in our church and in our life?
