ENACT DAY 2023

During the 19th Annual ENACT Advocacy Day, 100+ individuals came together (in person and remotely) from all over California. During our time in Sacramento, over 70+ individuals, grouped by region, met with 17 separate offices to educate decisionmakers on important issues such as Food4All, worker protections, health equity & racial justice fund, housing, and justice for CA immigrants.

Participants expressed tremendous gratitude for the opportunity to meet with others from their region and share their lived experiences on priority issues. One highlight included a group of women from Cultiva La Salud's network, Mujeres Poderosas Amorosas, who drove from the Central Valley to attend ENACT Day and were able to talk directly to Assemblymember Dr. Joaquín Arambula about the issues that concern them in their community.

Special thanks to all attendees and contributions from the ENACT Planning Team for producing another successful ENACT Advocacy Day. We hope more individuals engage with advocacy and continue speaking up! ENACT provides an opportunity to connect and share experiences as a method of driving more informed decisions on proposals impacting social determinants of health. Most proposals from the ENACT 2023 Policy Agenda are continuing through the legislative cycle. Learn more about those items and status updates HERE.

ENACT Day is hosted collaboratively by: CA4Health, California Pan-Ethnic Health Network, California State University-Chico’s Center for Healthy Communities, Human Impact Partners (HIP), Nourish CA, Prevention Institute, Public Health Advocates, and Public Health Institute.
