MESSAGE FROM RICKY

Dear Friends,

These past two Sundays in worship have been so wonderful. Two weeks ago we celebrated our confirmands, who made public professions of faith in Jesus Christ. After a year of study and growing in their faith, it was inspiring to see these young people commit their lives to following Him. Likewise, last Sunday, we celebrated our graduating Seniors. I know it wasn't too long ago that they were 6th graders, making their confirmation vows. To hear all that they accomplished in their high school careers and their plans for what's next brought us all joy.

As I looked out on the congregation those two days of worship I saw the faces of so many who were instrumental in the lives of these young people. I saw Sunday school teachers, small group leaders, and chaperones for youth trips. I saw parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles who drove kids to soccer tournaments, show choir competitions, band camps and scout trips. I saw all the years you have poured into the lives of these confirmands and seniors. Well done!

This coming Sunday, we have another day to celebrate a special group- our Mothers. I can't think of a more appropriate time in the life of our church to turn our attention to the women who are or have been like Mother's to us all.

I hope you join us Sunday to celebrate these women and give thanks to God for their love and devotion.

Grace and Peace,

Ricky

MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK

SIXTH GRADE CONFIRMATION

By. Nikki Parsons

Our 6th graders have been working hard all year long. We have been impressed by their dedication, their curiosity, and their willingness to learn and grow in their faith. They have asked thoughtful questions, engaged in meaningful discussions, and demonstrated a genuine desire to deepen their relationship with God. This past Sunday, we welcomed them into our church as the newest members of our congregation.
