An Opinion
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Are Necessary, But Poor Substitutes For Justice

USC University Professor Emeritus, Professor Emeritus of Education and Engineering

Many higher education leaders and pundits are convinced that affirmative action in college and university admission practices will be on the chopping block as a result of the US. What is Critical Race Theory (CRT)?

This oft-misunderstood theory has elicited strong responses and moral panic, with some researchers suggesting that CRT is not a theory and questioning its rigor and validity.

In this webinar, we will explore what CRT is and is not with a panel of scholars who ground their research and practice in CRT. The interactive zoom session will provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions of our expert panel and learn more about CRT. The webinar will be facilitated by Pullias Center Alumni Award winners Raquel M. USC Rossier & Pullias Center is the Editorial Home of Change Magazine

Did you know that USC Rossier & the Pullias Center is the editorial home for higher education publication Change Magazine? Pullias Center Director Adrianna Kezar serves as Executive Editor and KC Culver is Associate Editor of the print and web magazine.

Change, which is published six times a year, is a magazine dealing with contemporary issues in higher education. Using a magazine format rather than that of an academic journal, Change covers anything related to higher education, "all things higher education." It spotlights trends; provides new insights and ideas; and analyzes the implications of educational programs, policies, and practices.
