New Opportunity
River Stewards Workday - Invasive Plant Removal at Sycamore Island
Saturday, September 18
8 am - 10:30 am
Help the River Parkway Trust continue the effort to remove Sesbania punicea (Scarlet Wisteria) along the San Joaquin River. This troublesome invasive species pushes out native plant species and makes accessing the river difficult. During this volunteer day, we'll work to remove Sesbania at Sycamore Island.
 
Ages 10 and up are welcome to attend.

Parties for the Parkway Volunteers Needed!
We have two Parties for the Parkway that can use some extra help!
Party #12 Madeline Davidson Memorial Lobster Cook-out
Date: Sunday, September 26
Location: River Center
 
Volunteer needs: 2-3 people to help with set up and clean up
Time volunteers are needed: 1 pm - 3 pm; 6 pm - 7 pm.
Party #13 Harvest Home A Festival of Traditional Americana Music
Date: Saturday, October 2
Location: River Center
 
Volunteer needs: multiple volunteers for: check-in, parking, set up, and clean up.
Time volunteers are needed: various shifts between 9 am - 7 pm.

River Field Trip Docents!
The River Parkway Trust is Recruiting for Education Docents 
 
If you enjoy being outdoors, want to stay active and healthy, and like working with children, the Trust's Education Docent program is the perfect volunteer opportunity for you.
Education docents assist with field trips by leading activities or nature walks on Pre-K through 6th-grade field trips throughout the school year.

Help provide access to the Parkway as a River Center Trustee
The River Parkway Trust is recruiting volunteers to join our team of River Center Trustees. You can help provide access to the Parkway at the River Center in this volunteer role.

River Center Trustees help keep the River Center open to the public on weekends. If you enjoy spending time outside, meeting new people and want to help introduce more people to the Parkway, this opportunity is perfect for you.

Join the River Center Docent Team 
The River Parkway Trust relies on a team of friendly and enthusiastic River Center Docents to open the River Store and Ranch House on Saturdays and Sundays between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
