Dear Point Reyes National Seashore ,

Point Reyes presents endless opportunities for community connection, learning, adventure and joy! This year, we hosted author events on birds and fire with Amy Tan and Obi Kaufmann. We offered educational walks all around the park—from explorations of bears and tule elk to conversations about eelgrass restoration and Coast Miwok history. We revealed a Soundscapes of the Seashore StoryMap and hosted 11 member full moon walks. We held dozens of volunteer events throughout various habitats to restore native landscapes.

I invite you to join us in growing our community of Seashore stewards and friends by making a donation this Giving Tuesday.

Giving Tuesday - $100,000 Match

Through December 31st

Please support the park you love by helping us meet a $100,000 matching gift challenge. All gifts to PRNSA through December 31st will be doubled up to $100,000 thanks to a generous gift from an anonymous supporter. A gift of any size will help us restore and protect the incredible ecosystems in the park as well as grow our community of people who care for this park and planet.

Thank you for considering a special year-end gift to support climate resilience, habitat restoration, trails, connecting people to the park, healthy horses, and youth and adult education.

In the spirit of further connecting you to the park this season, I’m excited to share the launch of our new blog series which highlights Point Reyes’ curiosities of the nighttime—Clockwork. “Night-Flying”—the first article in the Clockwork series—celebrates the mystery and wonder of night-migrating birds to our wintry shores.

We look forward to partnering with you as we continue mapping a park for all in 2025!

With gratitude,
