2021 ANNUAL CONFERENCE KEYNOTE SPEAKERS ANNOUNCED
We are thrilled to announce Kim Lear and Michael Sittig as keynote speakers for this year's annual conference! With diverse backgrounds and a wide range of expertise, this year's speakers will bring an immense amount of knowledge to conference attendees.

Kim Lear is a writer and researcher who explores how emerging trends impact our workforce and marketplace. As the founder and content director of Inlay Insights, Kim uncovers cultural shifts that revolutionize how organizations engage employees and consumers. She uses a mix of data, storytelling, humor and actionable takeaways to discuss trends that most impact organizations’ bottom line.

Michael Sittig began his employment with the Florida League of Cities in 1970. He grew in knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the League’s issues and in his respect of the membership’s commitment to Home Rule and further grew into one of the League’s most valiant advocates.

Set for October 27 – 29, the 2021 FRA Annual Conference will be held at the brand new Luminary Hotel & Co., Autograph Collection in the Fort Myers River District.

The tentative schedule for this year's conference as well as information on our speakers can be found here.

Additional conference information including registration is on the official annual conference page.

NEW MYFRA FORUM QUESTIONS
The MyFRA forum facilitates engaging conversations for members seeking assistance from other professionals.

Here are the latest topics and questions:

Our city leadership is interested in looking at RFPs and agreements that allow a CRA to maintain ownership of a property, but partner for construction and leasing. Does anyone have any good references? Did the partnership include parking garages? pro formas? leasing or development agreements?

I’m looking for examples of thresholds or criteria for performance-based incentives for large redevelopment projects, $50 million+.
