Dear Elementary Parents/Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you well. We are working diligently to prepare for the upcoming
school year. We are thrilled to have you as a part of our community, whose vision is to grow greatness in mind, body, and spirit.

Important information about the upcoming school year is included with this email:

The first day of school is Monday, August 9. It is critical that your child attend school starting on that first day to avoid missing essential orientation and community-building activities. Information regarding parent orientation meetings will be forthcoming.

For those of you who are new to Villa, a program director oversees each of the three developmental levels we serve:

If you have questions about a program (curriculum, discipline, etc.), please feel free to contact the appropriate director for help and/or support.

As you will see from the school calendar, there are three parent-teacher conferences scheduled throughout the year. These will be held either in-person or on Zoom. The first one is intended to be a goal-setting conference for you, your child, and your child’s teacher. For grades 7 and 8, these take place on the first two days of school. For grades 1 – 6, they take place in September. The second conference is scheduled for January for grades 1 through 8. That conference is for you, your child, and your teacher to share progress towards those goals. The third conference in May will be optional for grades 1 through 6, not grades 7 and 8. You will receive a written progress report at the second and third conferences.

We plan on offering enrichment classes after school this year. Once those plans are finalized, we will send the information to you. These classes will begin in September.

We also plan on offering an after-school “Sports of All Sorts” program for elementary students. Due to the heat, these will begin in October. Details will be emailed to you in September. Our PE teacher and sports director, Coach E.J. (PEcoach@villamontessori.com), will be coordinating this.
Please complete the online registration forms needed to complete the enrollment/re-enrollment process by Wednesday, July 28. Instructions are attached HERE.

If your enrollment plans have changed and your child(ren) will not be attending this school year, please notify Enrollment immediately. Please email Leeane Hamilton at (enrollment@villamontessori.com) or call (602-955-2210, option two then 2) with any enrollment updates so that we can inform the next family on the waiting list and avoid any billing confusion for you.
Since children under the age of 12 are not eligible to be vaccinated, we will continue to follow the procedures that were developed last year for drop-off and pick up. This does require parents to remain in their cars during those high traffic times. Please read the attached drop-off and pick-up procedures for more information. We plan on gradually opening the campus back up to parents and visitors as we proceed. To help your family feel connected and a welcomed part of the Villa community, we will be reaching out to offer some options for ways in which you can be connected to the classroom and the school at large before the start of the school year.

Enjoy the rest of your summer. Please check your email frequently for additional communications. See you soon!

Sincerely,

Sincerely,
Margo S. O’Neill, M.Ed.
