Returning God's Gifts: Stewardship is what we do after we say "I believe".
This Sunday, October 17th, the Stewardship Commission will begin handing out pledge packets. We are asking each Trinity parishioner to make a financial commitment to God's work at Trinity for 2022. For the next few weeks, you will see and hear how your pledge makes a significant difference in so many lives around the Highland Lakes Region.

Please return your completed pledge card by November 7th so that the Budget Committee will begin work on our 2022 budget. Thank you for your continued generosity.

All Saints’ Sunday
On Sunday, November 7th, we will celebrate the Feast of All Saints. All Saints’, as many of you know, is the only moveable principal feast day of the church year; if it is not celebrated on the actual day, it can be moved to the following Sunday.

As is our custom, we will begin our worship with the Litany for all the Saints, and we will include in this litany the names of any of our loved ones who have recently died. We were unable to do this litany in 2020, so if you wish for the names of any of your loved ones who have died in the past 2 years to be read during this litany, please submit those names to Georgia at admin@trinitymarblefalls.org. We look forward to celebrating with you that Great Cloud of Witnesses into which so many of our loved ones have entered.
DOK Towel Brigade
The women of Trinity’s chapter of the Daughters of the King assembled towels and sundries that many daughters donated to be taken to the Highland Lakes Family Crisis Center.  Families of women and children receive these colorful and necessary goodies as they seek shelter. The DOK pledge themselves to service as well as prayer as they serve the Lord.
Tales of a Magic Monastery
From a small book written by Theophane the Monk, who is an experienced retreat director and spiritual father. “Father Theophane seeks to put us in touch with some of the deepest mysteries of life through the medium of story.”

“The Pearl of Great Price”
" He asked me what I was looking for. ‘Frankly,’ I said, ‘I’m looking for the Pearl of Great Price.’ He slipped his hand into his pocket, drew it out, AND GAVE IT TO ME. It was just like that! I was dumbfounded. Then I began to protest: ‘You don’t want to give it to me? Don’t you want to keep it for yourself?  But…'

When I kept this up, he said finally, ‘Look, is it better to have the Pearl of Great Price, or to give it away?’—

Well, now I have it. I don’t tell anyone. From some there would just be disbelief and ridicule. ‘You, you have the Pearl of Great Price? Hah!’ Others would be jealous, or someone might steal it. Yes, I do have it. But there’s that question—‘Is it better to have it, or to give it away?” How long will that question rob me of my joy?”

Children’s Chapel

Children’s Chapel will return in-person this Sunday at 10:30am.

Parents or Grandparents, please plan to bring your children directly to the Children’s Chapel before the 10:30am service. They will be brought back to you at the Peace after getting to worship with age-appropriate prayers complete with hand motions and after hearing a Bible story. The Chapel leaders are looking forward to teaching your kids in person once again. Masks will be provided for any who are unvaccinated as we request that masks be worn to protect the children.

Teresa and the Forgiveness Game
Here is the link to an article looking at the forgiveness part of the Lord’s Prayer that offers some helpful insight through the eyes of Teresa of Avila, mystic from the 16th century.

“Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.” Why is it written this way and does it mean that God’s forgiveness is conditional? Read the insight offered by Dr. Anthony Baker, Professor of Systematic Theology at the Seminary of the Southwest. LINK
Prayer from Taizé
“May the Lord keep us in the joy, the simplicity and the compassion of the holy Gospel." Amen. (as quoted by Canon John Bolton, Diocese of Atlanta, in his weekly meditation)

The Taizé community is an ecumenical, monastic order with a strong devotion to peace and justice through prayer and meditation. Trinity often sings its lovely, meditative songs during Communion.
On-line Worship
Each Sunday, we livestream the 10:30am service of Holy Eucharist.
It will be available on Trinity’s  Youtube page beginning at 10:20. Anytime after 10:20am click on the above YouTube link to go to Trinity’s YouTube channel. There you will see “ Live” or “Live Now” and click on it to join the service. If it is not there, refresh the page after a couple of minutes.
Women's Bible/Book Study Group every Thursday at Noon
This is an invitation to join our Women's Bible/Book Study group Thursday, October 14th at noon.
In his book, "Everything is Spiritual", Rob Bell challenges us with a fresh contemporary vision of our ancient faith. One reviewer says this book blends ancient teachings and modern science into wisdom that makes sense and heals.
