February is in fine form as we've finally started to see plenty of ice and snow in addition to the sub-freezing winter weather Indy's been experiencing. Even though this can sometimes slow down the progress of our outdoor projects, it hasn't stopped any growth from happening for us at Property Pros! It has been a busy start to the year for us as we've expanded our team thanks to a great acquisition, made new connections at the Indy Home Show, broke ground on some new projects, and welcomed some new faces to the team. This month, we are ramping up for the official start to our season in March. We are excited about all of the landscaping transformations we will see this year and want to thank you for sticking by us as we grow. Stay safe and warm out there!
When it comes to picturing your perfect outdoor project, it can be hard to visualize what the outcome will be based on a flat design plan. Thanks to 3-D software, we can take your custom design project and create a realistic visualization of your dream outdoor oasis. Take a look at this video illustrating this expansive plan, designed by Jeff Mull, to see what we mean! Give us a call to schedule a design consultation for your property.
We are excited to announce that Property Pros has acquired Ken-Cut Lawn Service! This marks a new stage for Property Pros, as we integrate the hardworking staff of Ken-Cut with our existing crews for even more amazing landscape maintenance collaboration and creation. In 1981, Ken-Cut started as a simple lawn care company striving to give the best customer care and let the quality of work speak for itself. They have since grown their family-owned company into a leader in landscape maintenance in the Indianapolis area, servicing numerous residential and commercial clients. We are so happy to add their successful history to our gamut and look forward to the continued growth Property Pros will see with Ken-Cut on our team!
Come visit us at the 2022 Suburban Indy Home and Outdoor Living Show! This show was designed to connect Suburban Indy homeowners with local businesses to discuss your landscape, home improvement and home building needs! Our team will be there all week at booth 410 to discuss your next project. Adult tickets are $10 at the door and $5 online. We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month, Jessie Gilley!
Please help us in congratulating Jessie Gilley as our February employee of the month! Jessie just started with us last month and is already proving herself as a valuable asset to the team. She helped lay blocks for the very first time at the Home Show last month and has been helping with building renovations, like painting our new maintenance team office space. She has a great attitude and is always willing to jump in where needed! Property Pros is happy to have you on our team Jessie! Thanks for everything you have done for us so far!
Ashley's Red Velvet Cupcakes

If you are looking for the perfect treat for Valentine's Day, look no further than our HR Manager's recipe for the ultimate red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, of course.
Cake Ingredients
  • 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cocoa powder
  • 2 1/4 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 2 1/4 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 6 tablespoons red food coloring (liquid, not gel - I buy it on Amazon)

Frosting Ingredients
  • 1 lb. cream cheese (2 packages), room temperature
  • 3/4 lb. butter (3 sticks), room temperature
  • 2 lbs. powdered sugar
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all cake ingredients and portion into lined and greased cupcake pans. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out dry.

For the frosting, mix the room temperature cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer for at least 3 minutes or until light and fluffy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until smooth. When the cupcakes are cooled completely, decorate them as desired; sometimes I add red sprinkles or chopped pecans to the top. Enjoy!

Note: This can also make a 3-layer cake using 9" cake pans. Adjust your baking time to 45-55 minutes.
